Unless otherwise agreed, picnics will be collected 1.5 hours for couples, 2 hours for small groups and 3 hours for large groups after commencement or with 30 minutes notice prior to conclusion.

Picnics in public spaces may not be left unattended at any time.

Client will be liable for all breakages, theft or irreparable damage to hired items.

Client may provide as many additional props, food or beverages as they wish. However, set-up and clean up of these items remains the responsibility of the client.

The Vintage Picnic Company (TVPC) is not licensed and respects laws regarding drinking alcohol in public spaces. Clients assume all responsibility for alcohol provided and consumed throughout the duration of a picnic provided by TVPC.

Bookings are confirmed on receipt of payment only.

Special dietaries are to be confirmed 72 hours prior to the event date. This cannot be changed as food is ordered according to specified requirements.

In the event of a serious weather event, TVPC may choose to cancel an event, in which case all monies will be refunded in full or the client can choose to reschedule. TVPC reserves the right to cancel an event due to severe weather up until the morning of the expected event. The client will be kept well informed if there is a chance this may occur.

Every opportunity to ensure your picnic may go ahead despite poor weather will be taken, including the use of one of our marquees or pre-determined undercover areas. Clients should also ensure they have a wet weather back-up location prepared, which can include a private residence within a 20 minute drive of the original booked location.

Please note that any food ordered will still be delivered to the client if a wet weather back up location cannot be sourced preventing the picnic going ahead

In the case of cancellation due to COVID restrictions, the following may occur:

If government restrictions prevent a picnic going ahead within 72 hours, clients may choose to postpone their event or receive a full refund less 20% deposit if postponement is not possible. Clients will receive the 20% deposit amount as a credit towards any future booking. Please note that we are a COVID safe business and can operate under our COVID safe event checklist for group bookings.

If government restrictions prevent a picnic going ahead within 48 hours, clients may choose to cancel or reschedule their picnic, however will still be liable for any food ordered, which will be delivered to the client on the scheduled picnic day.

In the case of cancellation, change of date or change of mind, the following may occur:

All 20% booking deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellations 30 days prior to your event will be eligible for a refund, less the booking deposit and a $50 administration fee
